The brochure Nature has for cats states that they are clean animals. Growing up, we're taught that cats are super clean, have a state-of-the-art self-cleaning feature, and majestically pace among us hoomans, gazing condescendingly at our disgusting habits.

Well, if you're considering getting a fluffy feline, you should know that that's false advertising. Cats are cute as buttons; they have beans on their tiny feetsies that are awwdorable and'll make you feel at home the minute you grab them after a day of work - but they are not always clean. They do have the self-cleaning button, but they make up for it with cat hair everywhere, hairballs of unbelievable sizes, and mess created by their insatiable curiosity. In addition, their bathroom habits force the cat pawrent to transform into a whole cleaning team, just to take care of their cat kids' litter box.

That's what you get when you decide to pawrent. The same goes for hooman babies, so maybe cats are at least a good practice.
